Nicole A. Hartsough, M.D. was born and raised in Freeport, Illinois. Her
undergraduate studies were at Western Illinois University. For her first year
of medical school, she attended the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine
in Chicago. The next three years she attended the University Of Illinois
College Of Medicine at Rockford. Her internship was in Greenville, SC. For her
residency in dermatology, she returned to the University Of Illinois College Of
Medicine in Chicago.
Her practice began in 1982 joining Dr. Alvin Francik and Dr. Louis Ruben as the
first female physician partner at Rockford Clinic. She remained there until
2000 when she joined Featherstone Clinic. Finally, in April 2005, she opened
her own private practice located at 7402 E. Riverside Blvd. in Loves Park, IL.
Dr. Hartsough has privileges at all three Rockford hospitals and is an assistant
professor at the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine at Rockford. She is
a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Medical
Association. Annually, she organizes and participates in the May Melanoma Free
Skin Screening Clinic.
Dr. Hartsough resides in Rockford and is married with three children. Her
daughter attends the University of British Colombia in Vancouver, Canada with a
major in botany. Her oldest son will be attending the University of Illinois,
Champaign Urbana with a major in philosophy. Her youngest son is in grade
school.
